Big birds and totem poles

There are crazy big bird statues in the Olympic Village.  The kids enjoyed running around them one morning while we had coffee and treats from Terra Breads.  And more totem poles...I took the kids to the Museum of Anthropology.  Walking through the exhibit, Molly kept commenting, "Oh, that one looks mad" or "That one looks happy."  When it came time to take pictures, she did her best impressions of the poles.

Happy Easter!

Giant chocolate eggs (thanks, Auntie Naomi and Uncle Brian) and Easter baskets, a great Easter service (1st time Sawyer didn't cry at the drop off...way to go, little buddy), a tasty brunch outside with family, an egg hunt with new friends.  All in all, a great day.  I hope you also had a wonderful day remembering our risen Lord.

Sun!

We found some on Sunday afternoon and had a fun little picnic on our lawn.  Nothing compares to that feeling of being warmed to your core by the sun,  I tell you.  Learning to appreciate life's simple pleasures!

Grandpa

Grandpa came to town for a visit last weekend.  We wish he could've stayed longer but had a fun time showing him around our city.
