A real tea party!

One of Molly's favorite things to do around the house is play tea party.  Well, thanks to Herman and Mary, we went to a real live tea party at the Fairmont.  Molly was thrilled with her chocolate milk poured out of a tea pot into her tea cup and safe to say, she stuck with the top sweet tier of the tower and left the savory below for me to enjoy.

Jer's new hobby

There may not be waves here, but Jer hasn't altogether abandoned the surfboard.  He and Chris took out their new paddleboards one evening this week while the kids and I played on the beach.  I'll use discretion in posting pictures but by the end of our evening, Molly was naked splashing in the water up to her belly.  We may have a little Gidget on our hands.

Pizza in the garden

Auntie Emily took Molly out for pizza and they found this community garden to picnic in.  We eventually met up with them.  The little plots were beautiful and so bountiful.  Molly may or may not have harvested a few things for herself...

The Aquarium

We had a fun outing to the Vancouver Aquarium in Stanley Park.  This may become a regular hang out for us this year.  Caleb, we thought of you and how much you'd love all the animals...feel free to come visit and see for yourself! :)

Food, food, food!

We've been eating a lot since we arrived.  Our kitchen is having a mini-makeover next week so we've been hitting a lot of Chinese restaurants in the meantime.  "Cha siu bao" and "lo mai gai" are now a regular part of Molly's vocabulary.

The beach

We made it to the beach our first week here for a bbq with a bunch of Jer's old friends from high school.  A little different than SB...I was looking at snow capped mountains while sitting on the sand.  It was so nice to be out with friends and in the sun!

Taylor and Jordan...Molly's first friends in Vancouver!

We made it

Hello, blogreaders!  We are long overdue on a post here.  The computer is finally set up and we're getting settled here.  I did a horrible job taking pictures on our drive up.  Jer drove up the Penske truck (which he definitely enjoyed...if teaching doesn't work out, he may have a new calling in life) and I had the kids in the minivan.  The drive was actually really beautiful through Northern CA, OR, and WA but I didn't want to risk waking up sleeping or happy kids to stop and take pictures.  Here are a few shots of our trip.  More to come on our life here in Vancouver.

Although she seems to have a frown on in this picture, Molly had a great time playing with Augie's grandpa.  We all had such a nice time with the Kidneys at our Seattle stop...almost there!
These were the good times!
