Party time

A big happy birthday to Augie today!  We got to go celebrate with him last weekend at his new pad in Pasadena.  Thanks for a great party, Augie.  (And thanks to David, yet again, for all the pics.)

Beatin' the heat

It's been ridiculously hot here this week...summer finally decided to show up.  I'm ready for it to leave already.  Extreme heat and big bellies are not good friends.  Molly and I headed to La Cumbre earlier this week to escape the heat of our house and play in the fountain.  Don't worry, Molly's a Peets girl...Starbucks just happened to be more convenient that afternoon.

It's always a treat to have Martha and Augie come back to SB to visit...and all the kiddos like it too!

First day of school

We obviously haven't hit the monumental first day of kindergarten yet with Molly, but Jer did start his 15th year at Marymount today...a pretty big milestone I'd say.  Molly got to go with him for the first couple hours.  She apparently had a great time greeting all the new students and getting right in the mix of things.
